The U.S. Coast Guard is working to free a 71-foot tugboat that acquired caught off simply off the seashore in Lavallette after breaking freed from its moorings Tuesday morning.

All 4 folks on board are secure and the tug boat shouldn’t be taking up water, the U.S. Coast Guard stated.

The Coast Guard dispatched a rescue boat from its station within the Manasquan Inlet and has established contact with the captain. It was notified at about 3:30 a.m.

Information12.com reported that the boat’s tether line grew to become entangled within the propeller, however a Coast Guard spokesman stated he could not affirm that.
