A lady suffered a damaged ankle whereas mountain climbing within the Brainard Lake Recreation Space within the Boulder County foothills Thursday morning.
The girl, recognized as 51-year-old Astrid Peter, of Germany, was mountain climbing along with her husband on the Glacier Path within the space of Lake Isabelle, about two miles west of the Brainard Lake Recreation Space, in response to a information launch.
Peter slipped and fell, breaking her ankle. Due to her distant location, she was taken to Brainard Lake through helicopter and transported to a hospital through personal automobile.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Workplace, Indian Peaks Fireplace, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, American Medical Response and Flight For all times responded to the rescue.
The incident was first reported shortly after 11 a.m. and crews accomplished the rescue at about 3:30 p.m.
