A 24-year-old South Jersey resident was sentenced final week to 13 years in jail for beating to dying a great Samaritan who tried to cease an assault on a lady.

Calvin Wiggins had pleaded responsible to aggravated manslaughter in June and acquired his sentence Friday for the Nov. 2 incident, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Workplace unhappy in a press release.
