A person who shot and wounded three black males as they tried to evacuate New Orleans throughout Hurricane Katrina has pleaded responsible to a hate crime, in accordance with the Division of Justice on Thursday.

Roland Bourgeois Jr, who’s white, will face 5 to 10 years in jail for the capturing which occurred within the chaotic aftermath of Katrina, and after which he allegedly shouted racial slurs and mentioned: “Something arising this avenue darker than a brown paper bag is getting shot.”
