A Breckenridge man has been arrested as a suspect in a sequence of ski and snowboarding thefts value greater than $5,000, police mentioned.

Thomas Yacko, 32, has been charged with felony theft, based on the Breckenridge police division.

Yacko is accused of stealing 10 snowboards, 10 pairs of skis, six pairs of snowboard bindings, three helmets, 13 units of goggles, and eight pairs of high-priced gloves, amongst different objects, police mentioned in a information launch. The thefts occurred this season principally within the Breckenridge Ski Resort Peak 9 space.

After a rise in thefts police started an investigation in February and served a search warrant Tuesday at Yacko’s residence within the 100 block of Atlantic Lode. The objects seized are valued between $5,000 and $10,000. Yacko was arrested at his office and brought to the Summit County jail.

An investigation is ongoing and police mentioned Wednesday that extra victims have come ahead because the arrest.
