A rockslide on Interstate 70 west of Denver briefly shut down the westbound lanes of the freeway Tuesday evening.

The slide occurred at about 8:10 p.m. in Clear Creek County on the backside of Floyd Hill, in keeping with the Colorado State Patrol. Visitors was routed off I-70 and on to U.S. Freeway 6 for about 30 minutes. Interstate 70 reopened at about 8:40 p.m.
There have been no studies of accidents.
